In less than a few years, MEDCO has managed to grasp a leading position in the GCC market with the award in the Doha area of the prestigious Pearl Qatar project as well as a major contract for dredging and reclamation of the platform for the new Doha International Airport.

Other activities in the Gulf region involved the extension of Lulu Island in Bahrain; the Pars Service Port Site development project in Assaluyeh, Iran; the Al Raha Beach Development; Ras Ghanada Channel Extension; Ruwais Sulphur Expansion; Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah and the recently awarded major contract for Khalifah Port in Abu Dhabi; Al Dana Island in Ras Al Khaimah and involvement in Qatar - Bahrain causeway project.
