PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Pars Port Complex in the Assaluyeh region of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a service-providing port measuring around 140 hectares. It has the capacity to let 75,000-ton ships berth. This comprehensive port complex comprises both a Service Port and Petrochemical Port.

With an actual petrochemical export capacity in excess of 30 million tons per year, the port is one of the major export terminals of the Gulf region.

Qatar Dredging Company's contract in Pars Service Port consists of dredging works for the deepening of the harbour basin and the access channel to respectively minus 13 and minus 15 meters. In addition the platform behind the quay wall under construction needed to be reclaimed.

Works started in November 2004 and was completed in June 2005.
